I just finished an assignment for r/photoclass2017, where I had to critique other’s photos. It was hard!

As I was typing my comments, I realised how vulnerable it makes the critic. Every criticism I made, I know that I make the same mistake. It’s also pretty tough having to tell someone that their photo doesn’t appeal to you, and not have the technical or artistic ability to know why.
I guess it’s part of the journey, and it certainly forced me to think about each photo.
Hopefully I can start bringing that same critical thinking to my photography when framing images in the viewfinder, whilst not suffering from analysis paralysis when shooting!
